We host an online peer support group on Facebook. We are able to put members in touch with other members that have been through similar treatments (Breast Friends Buddy). We offer telephone support to those that would like to chat with someone over the phone. We hold regular in-person meet ups in the local area (at least once a month) – we tend to vary these between meeting for coffee and lunch, meeting for a ‘wellness walk’ and an evening meeting. We host special event meet ups such as our upcoming art workshop and Christmas Ladies Lunch. On the last Thursday of each month, we hold a virtual member meet up via Zoon. Often we invite someone with an experience of breast cancer to join the meeting and share their story. We provide Breast Friends Surgery Care Packages to members and people in our local area that are facing breast cancer related breast surgery (mastectomy, breast reconstruction etc). We recently launched our Breast Friends ‘Pamper Hamper’ which we gift to members going through a tough time and we are currently developing a breast cancer related ‘Menopause Care Package’.
